2023 MSVG SOCCER MIAMI SPRINGS/VIRGINIA GARDENS U18 (2005) BLITZ WON THE U19 WESTON CUP
2023 Miami Springs Virginia Gardens defeated a team from Denmark in the Finals To win the Weston Cup tournament.
The Miami Springs Virginia Gardens Under 18 girls’ soccer team was champion of the Weston Cup Showcase 2023 tournament, winning the finals, played on Monday, February 20, against Ballerup-Skovlunde Fodbold (Denmark team).
MSVG coached by Giovanni de La Rosa and the Europeans finished the 90 minutes of regulation time with the score tied 0-0, the Finals had to be decided by way of penalties.
Maegan Alvarez, goalkeeper for Miami Spring, stopped two penalty kicks from the rivals. Rebecca Baldelomar, Kyara Ormazabal, Camila Lago and Tessa Abreu made their four shots effective, for the game to end 4-2 and thus bring another trophy to the club.
Thus the team based at Stafford Park in Miami Springs continues its preparation for the State Cup Final 4 which will be played at the end of May.
